5-Day High Atlas Circuit: Imi Nighlad – Id Aïssa – Tamsoulte – Imlil – Tachdirt – Asni

Day 1: Marrakech – Imi Nighlad – Id Aïssa

Your adventure begins with a morning transfer from Marrakech toward Imi Nighlad, a remote mountain area in the High Atlas. After meeting your local mountain guide and mule team, begin the trek through beautiful mountain landscapes and traditional Amazigh villages.

Follow quiet trails through valleys and cultivated terraces, gradually making your way toward Id Aïssa. This first stage offers a wonderful introduction to the authentic and less-visited side of the High Atlas.

Day 2: Id Aïssa – Tamsoulte – Azzaden Valley

After breakfast, continue trekking toward Tamsoulte, crossing mountain trails surrounded by spectacular landscapes. The route passes through traditional villages, juniper forests, and open mountain terrain.

Continue toward the Azzaden Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in the Toubkal region. Depending on the season and conditions, you can visit the impressive Tamsoulte waterfalls before continuing to the evening accommodation.

Walking: Approximately 5–7 hours

Day 3: Azzaden Valley – Tizi n’Mzik – Imlil

Today is one of the most scenic stages of the trek. Leave the Azzaden Valley and climb toward Tizi n’Mzik Pass, with spectacular views over the surrounding valleys and High Atlas peaks.

After crossing the pass, descend through mountain trails toward Imlil, the famous gateway to Mount Toubkal. Along the way, pass through traditional Amazigh villages and terraced fields.

Arrive in Imlil in the afternoon and enjoy some time to relax and explore the village.

Day 4: Imlil – Tizi n’Tamatert – Tachdirt

After breakfast, leave Imlil and begin the climb toward Tizi n’Tamatert Pass. The trail offers impressive panoramic views of the Imlil and Imane valleys and the surrounding High Atlas peaks.

Cross the pass and descend toward the beautiful Tachdirt Valley, home to some of the highest traditional villages in the region.

Enjoy the afternoon exploring Tachdirt and experiencing the local Amazigh way of life.

Day 5: Tachdirt – Imnane Valley – Asni – Marrakech

After breakfast, begin the final stage of your trek. Descend through the Imnane Valley, following mountain paths between traditional villages, terraced fields, and spectacular views.

Continue toward the lower valleys and meet your private vehicle in the Asni area. After lunch, begin the drive back to Marrakech.

Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon, marking the end of your High Atlas trekking adventure.
