Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech Your adventure begins with an eco-friendly transfer from the airport to a traditional, eco-conscious riad in the heart of the medina. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a dinner featuring organic Moroccan cuisine, a taste of the sustainable philosophy that will guide your journey.
Day 2: Marrakech: A Cultural and Artisan Immersion A knowledgeable local guide will lead you on a walking tour of the historic medina. Beyond the famous landmarks like Bahia Palace, you will visit small-scale artisan cooperatives and engage directly with local craftspeople. The highlight of the day is a hands-on workshop with a local artisan, where you can learn to weave, cook, or create with henna.
Day 3: Through the Atlas Mountains to Skoura We’ll begin a scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains, a journey that reveals Morocco’s diverse landscapes. We’ll stop to explore the ancient, earth-built ksar of Aït Benhaddou before continuing to the lush Skoura Oasis. Here, you’ll have dinner with a local family or in a community-owned guesthouse, offering a true taste of local life.
Day 4: The Valleys of Roses and Dades Today, we visit the heart of the Rose Valley to see the rose distillation cooperatives in Kelaat M’Gouna. You’ll then trek through the peaceful Berber villages and farms of the Dades Valley, where the red earth contrasts with the green farmlands. An optional cooking class using seasonal ingredients is available for those who wish to learn more.
Day 5: Canyons and Dunes The morning will be spent exploring the magnificent Todgha Gorges. Afterwards, we’ll visit the community gardens and traditional water systems of Tinghir, learning about local methods of sustainable farming. The day culminates with our arrival in the Sahara, where a camel ride will take you to your eco-luxury camp for a night under a sky full of stars.
Day 6: Authentic Nomad Encounter Wake up to a desert sunrise before visiting a semi-nomadic Amazigh family. You will be welcomed into their home and learn about their ancestral traditions. With the help of a translator, you can share stories, learn to prepare tea, and gain a unique insight into their way of life. The afternoon is yours to relax, sandboard, or meditate in the stillness of the dunes.
Day 7: Oasis Life in the Draa Valley We will journey through the desert landscape via Alnif, a town known for its ancient fossils. We will visit the historic Kasbah Tamnougalt and explore a local sustainable farming project. The day ends with a peaceful evening in Agdz, where you’ll enjoy a delicious organic dinner at a locally owned eco-lodge.
Day 8: Into the Anti-Atlas Mountains Our journey takes us off the beaten path into the Anti-Atlas Mountains. This remote region offers a glimpse into traditional Amazigh life. We’ll visit centuries-old granaries and women’s argan oil cooperatives, learning about traditional techniques that have sustained these communities for generations.
Day 9: Silver Crafts and the Atlantic Coast We’ll drive to the coast via Tiznit, a city famous for its silver craftsmanship. Your final night will be spent in a peaceful coastal retreat in Sidi Ifni or Mirleft, where you can enjoy the ocean breeze. An optional sunset walk or beach clean-up initiative is available for those who wish to give back to the community.
Day 10: Farewell After a final breakfast, a private, eco-friendly vehicle will transfer you to the Marrakech or Agadir airport for your departure, leaving you with lasting memories and a deeper connection to the soul of Morocco.
