3-Day Itinerary
Day 1: From Marrakech to the Dades Valley Our journey begins with a scenic drive from Marrakech, crossing the dramatic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Our first stop is the magnificent Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a famous film location. We’ll have lunch in Ouarzazate, the « Gateway to the Desert, » before continuing through the stunning Valley of the Roses to our peaceful riad in the Dades Gorges.
Day 2: Into the Heart of the Sahara After a traditional breakfast, we’ll visit the spectacular Todgha Gorges. The path then leads us toward the vast desert. Upon arrival in Merzouga, our camel caravan will be waiting. A peaceful camel trek will take us into the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes to our desert camp. As the sun sets, we’ll gather around a campfire for a traditional Berber dinner and a night of music and stargazing.
Day 3: Sunrise and Return to Marrakech Wake up to the breathtaking spectacle of a desert sunrise. After breakfast, you can choose to return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4. We will then begin our journey back to Marrakech, traveling through the beautiful Draa Valley with its ancient kasbahs and palm groves. You will arrive in Marrakech in the evening, carrying with you the magic of the desert.
